Reflexology
|
 |
Reflexology
is a treatment that works on the feet using massage and gentle pressure,
it is an holistic healing therapy that has been in use for thousands of
years.
The principle behind this therapy is that reflex points on the feet mirror
every part of the body and that any areas of sensitivity indicate congestion
in the corresponding part of the body. |
|
|
|
A
reflexologist works on these congested areas using firm pressure, encouraging
the blockages in the energy pathways to clear, allowing the energy to
flow and the body once more get back in balance.
Treatment stimulates blood supply to the organs of the body and therefore
encourages the illimination of toxins. As reflexology treats the whole
person it has been found to be successful in treating a wide range of
complaints including:
|
 |
Asthma
Digestive problems
Insomnia
P.M.T.
Stress
Headaches & Migraine
Arthritis
Sinusitis
Back Pain
M.E. / C.F.S
|
|
The
treatment takes approximately one hour whilst the patient sits comfortably
on a reclining couch. It is usual for the patient to experience a feeling
of relaxation and wellbeing after a treatment.
|

|
Vertical
Reflex Therapy
|
|
|
Vertical Reflex Therapy is particularly useful for orthopaedic and chronic
muscular conditions, ie; stiff knees and hips, but can also be beneficial
for other conditions such as M.E., asthma, and I.B.S.
|
 |
The
treatment takes place whilst the client is standing allowing deeper access
to the reflexes on the top of the foot. This
therapy takes about 15 minutes and is incorporated into a standard reflexology
treatment. |

Healing |

Reiki
is an ancient form of healing that is thought to originate in Tibet. It
was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Ushi in Japan in the late 19th Century.
The Japanese word, Reiki, means Universal Life Force.
Life force flows within the physical body through pathways called chakras,
meridians and nadirs and around us as an aura. This flow can be blocked
or disrupted by the stresses and strains of daily life.
Reiki
is a very gentle and non-invasive healing therapy that works by channelling
healing energy through the giver to the receiver this clears and heals
the energy pathways allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and
natural way bringing the body into balance.
Reiki
is always positive and can never cause harm to any living thing. It
can be used on anyone, no matter how young, old or frail and brings
good results with both emotional and physical problems. For the person
that is healthy, Reiki relaxes and rejuvenates. Reiki has had good results
reported for several conditions including:
|
|
|
Anxiety, depression, Insomnia
Digestive problems
Psoriasis & eczema
Stress, Tension, Headaches & Migraine
Asthma
Arthritis, Back Pain
Sinusitis
MS
M.E. / C.F.S.
|
|
The
healing is given by gentle hand placing whilst the client either sits
or lays down fully clothed. The session lasts for about one hour.

The areas that are worked include the upper back, neck, shoulders, upper
arms, scalp, ears and face. The face massage includes applying gentle
pressure along the meridians or energy lines located on the face and head.
This soothes, comforts and rebalances energy flow leaving you with a feeling
of peace and tranquility.
The
head massage improves blood circulation to the head and neck area, which
helps to boost hair growth, improving the strength and texture of the
hair.
The
neck and shoulder massage eliminates muscle tension and stimulates circulation,
thus helping oxygen flow to all the tissues also promoting lymphatic
drainage, assisting with the removal of wastes and toxins from the body.
The closing part of this massage incorporates chakra balancing techniques,
